The most impressive flight demonstration of Dubai Airshow is unquestionably that of the Boeing 777-9. Test aircraft WH001 has done daily displays since Saturday.
At the end of her demo, she almost rolls over in a way never to be experienced during normal flight. She banks steeply to the left before recovering on extra power to level off again. That moment is also the only time when you hear the General Electric GE9X engines really work, but they are impressively quiet.
