Pratt & Whitney announced today that the PW1524G engine for the Bombardier CSeries made its first test flight on the PW flying testbed at Mirabel Airport near Montreal. Â This is another milestone for the GTF, which successfully completed ground testing at PW’s West Palm Beach facility and is now airborne. Â Both the engine and airframe programs are current on schedule for the planned introduction of the CS100 in 2013 and CS300 in 2014.
