On July 1st a low pass by two Brazilian Air Force Mirages at an air show demonstrated shock and awe by (unintentionally) breaking windows on the Supremo Tribunal Federal building. Rather funny actually.

In 1959, a U.S. Air Force Lockheed F-104 Starfighter performed a high speed low level pass over the Ottawa Airport during a ceremony for the opening of the new airport terminal. It unintentionally went supersonic, causing windows and parts of the walls of the new building to shatter, which delayed the opening of the terminal for four months. 🙁
Awesome!
I guess the dept and shape of the concrete roof, the smooth concrete square in front of the building and shockwave right in front of the Mirage all worked against the windows. Murphy..
