The past year has been eventful for aviation. The A320neo and CSeries entered service, along with the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine. Several other models made their first flights, and new aircraft deals were made with Iran for about $40 billion in new aircraft. While backlogs are still strong, the book to billed ratio has fallen short of 1 in the second half of the year, and is expected to weaken in 2017.
Chronologically, here are some of the interesting events that occurred during the year.
