Gulfstream announced today the first customer delivery of its new ultra-long-range G800 aircraft  The G800 is the longest range business aircraft in the world, with the capability to fly routes up to 8,200 nautical miles non-stop.  The G800 received FAA certification earlier this year on April 16th and the first customer aircraft was completed at Gulfstream’s Appleton, Wisconsin completion facility. Â
The aircraft was launched in 2021 to overtake the Bombardier Global 8000 with respect to ultra-long operations. Â With a maximum speed of Mach 0.935 the aircraft is among the fastest business jets. Â At a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90, the aircraft can travel 7,000 nautical miles, and 8,000nm at Mach 0.87. Â

The aircraft offers many other innovative new features, including a cabin altitude of only 2,840 feet at a cruising altitude of 41,000 ft. Â That enables an added degree of comfort for passengers. Â The aircraft also includes 16 large oval Gulfstream panoramic windows that have become a hallmark of large Gulfstream jets. Â

The new aircraft has experienced a strong market reaction after its introduction, and with entry into service, turns the corner from a development project to a cash generator for the company, which has refreshed its fleet with the G500, G600, G700, and forthcoming G400 in addition to the G800. Â The modern new family of large Gulfstream jets provide a choice of five aircraft whose capabilities can be matched to customer requirements. Â As a flagship model offering the longest-range, the G800 takes its place at the top of the Gulfstream line.
