GAMA
Our story a couple of weeks ago on annual general aviation shipments and billings from GAMA mentioned that the data were incomplete for helicopters. Leonardo, a key player in the market, reported past the initial deadline. Today we are taking the opportunity to update the analysis.
The following chart shows the updated industry totals for 2025, as shown in the table below.

Shipments of helicopters in 2025 were dominated by the four large players, Airbus, Robinson, Bell, and Leonardo. The following table shows 2025 deliveries by manufacturer for helicopter aircraft. Robinson has a strong market in light training helicopters, and has a strong market share in deliveries.

For those who prefer, the following pie chart shows market share in shipments by company:

When it comes to billings, the numbers change, focusing on the more expensive aircraft. The following table shows billings and market share by manufacturer for helicopter aircraft in 2025.

The most noticeable change is that market share for Robinson, 25.5% based on helicopters shipped, falls to only 3.4% when measured in billings. For those who prefer a pie chart, the following chart shows market share by billings.

The Bottom Line
The helicopter market has continued to recover well since the pandemic, now surpassing pre-pandemic levels in both shipments and billings. With the addition of Leonardo data, the segment looks quite different from our earlier post.
