Here we are in December, and the US DoT has updated its US Airline Traffic numbers through August. Here’s our updated model. The depth of the hit the industry took in April is staggering. The climb out since then has been agonizing and slow. Perhaps underscoring just how vulnerable air travel and the downstream travel industry is to exogenous shocks.
