Pre Paris briefing by Mike Fleming

The briefing, you will quickly note, went quite differently from the other Boeing sessions.  The audience did not wait for the end before the questions started.

Mr. Fleming had a tough session because it addressed certifications.  There have been delays, and as he explains, Boeing

is surprised at how long it is taking for the MAX7 to be certified . He feels the same way about the MAX10.

One can sympathize with Boeing. It must be frustrating because certifications now follow a new regime. The US Congress added a new law.  Other certification agencies are also following tougher processes.
