Air France-KLM and Etihad Airways want to extend their existing codeshare and interline partnership with a collaboration that covers commercial operations and maintenance. The two airlines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Paris on September 7.
The MoU needs regulatory approval, but Air France-KLM and Etihad have already started offering forty new routes for the upcoming winter season to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, the Asia Pacific, and Australia. Customers can already book these codeshare flights as of today and benefit from the loyalty programs from the two airlines. Air France will launch daily flights to Abu Dhabi from October 29.
