Archer Aviation has joined forces with NASA to jointly study and test high-performance battery cells for use in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and space applications. The two announced a Space Act Agreement on Monday that officially kicks off the partnership, although work has already been ongoing for some time.
Results from the project and tests will not be exclusive to Archer but are available to other eVTOL manufacturers as well, to push the entire AAM industry forward, Archer and NASA say.
