About a week after Gulfstream announced a record long distance flight for its Gulfstream G650LR, Bombardier has announced an even longer record flight for its Global 7500 business jet, this one in excess of 8,000 nautical miles.

More fuel efficient engines are enabling longer and longer flights for new technology aircraft, which incorporate weight saving composites, advanced aerodynamics, and advanced avionics that help the aircraft achieve longer and longer range.
