Ahead of the 2021 Dubai Airshow, lessor ACIA Aero Leasing has announced some interesting business updates. On November 10, it said it has issued a request for proposal for thirty ATRs, Embraers, and De Havilland Canada Dash 8s. On November 13, it announced a Letter of Intent with Universal Hydrogen for up to thirty turboprops and convert them for use with hydrogen. ACIA also placed its first Embraer E190 with Bestfly, which plans to add another three in the coming years.
What is behind the growth of this small lessor? And how will its expansion plans look like? AirInsight talked to ACIA CEO Mick Mooney.
