Unifor, the Canadian labor union, announced that no deal had been reached in negotiations with Bombardier by a Saturday deadline, and that 1,350 employees at the Toronto Pearson facility building Global series aircraft are on strike. Negotiations, however, are continuing.
Bombardier spokesperson Mark Masluck indicated the company was continuing to negotiate and looked forward to “swiftly reach a mutually beneficial agreement.” Representatives of Unifor indicated that negotiations went into Sunday morning and would continue on Monday morning,.
