Legacies unite: LATAM and Aerolíneas start codesharing

Aerolíneas Argentinas and three subsidiaries of the LATAM Airlines Group have launched a codeshare agreement. This deal allows passengers to connect on domestic routes in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru via international flights operated by both airlines.

As consolidation ramps up in the region, legacy carriers like LATAM and Aerolíneas must find ways to cooperate and keep up with the dynamic changes Abra Group and Low Costs are pushing throughout South America. Once unfathomable, the alliance aims to block Avianca from gaining ground in Argentina, as it has increased its offering through Ecuador.
