Alex Wilcox is CEO of Jetsuite, a rapidly growing charter jet company which intends to utilize ideas proven successful by LCCs. Meaning applying standards like one airplane type (Phenom 100) and one cabin layout. The consequence is the ability to charge a really aggressive price point. It helps that the service is priced so that even a small business can probably do better using this service instead of flying commercial in many cases.
There is a memory of Dayjet here – except this operation is using an airplane made by Embraer, meaning an airplane with a great heritage. Throw in David Neeleman as an investor and a bunch of JetBlue alumni and you have a very interesting story.
