Boeing certainly hopes that 2022 will be better than 2019, 2020, and 2021, each of which had major disasters for Boeing. Between the MAX, pandemic, and 787 and KC-46 quality issues, Boeing’s mantle of industry leadership disappeared, as has its financial performance. The company has a number of problems that it needs to solve to get back to where it needs to be, and that will require a return to fundamentals rather than managing to quarterly earnings reports and stock price.
