Qatar Airways lost an opportunity to make its financial year 2025/2026 its best in history after being confronted with the effects of the Middle East crisis in March. The drastic capacity reduction in the final month cost it precious revenues. Yet, the airline reported a QR 7.08 billion ($1.9 billion) net profit.
Total revenues stood at QR 83.8 billion, down from QR 86 billion in FY2024/2025. But if you calculate monthly revenues at roughly QR 7.0 billion, it shows what the impact from the March crisis must have been. Without it, Qatar’s revenues could likely have reached around QR 90 billion, the highest in its history.
