The first flight under a new Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is only scheduled for March next year, but Turkish Airlines’ subsidiary Anadolujet kicked off a new chapter in its history on Friday. The airline revealed the new name AJet and new livery on an Airbus A321neo while confirming its bold growth strategy for the next ten years.
Anadolujet was established as a low-cost subsidiary of Turkish Airlines in 2008. It primarily operated on domestic routes before gradually expanding its network. Last year, the airline carried 16.1 million passengers on 101 international and 78 domestic routes. Ten million traveled on the domestic network. It operates a fleet of 90 Airbus and Boeing narrowbody aircraft and has its main base at Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen Airport.
