The 757 is still competitive with the A321neo

Airbus A321XLR is now well into its deployment, and it is useful to see how it has been performing.  Using the latest Skailark data, we offer you the following chart.

We filtered the data to show 1H26 single-aisles, with average stage on the X-axis and fuel burn per seat on the Y-axis. This is the heart of the market.  It is also the segment where the A321 reigns in the top-right corner.  But, as you see, the 757 cannot be counted out yet.  The longevity of the 757 is remarkable. It has been over 20 years since the last one was delivered, and it continues to perform effectively.  If only Boeing

had built a successor.
