Another problem has emerged for Boeing, this time for both the 737MAX and 737NG aircraft. Boeing has discovered a problem with leading edge slat tracks manufactured by a supplier that may not have been properly heat treated, and need to be replaced as they could prematurely crack and fail to operate.
The problem may impact 133 NG models and 179 MAX models worldwide. Boeing notified the FAA that these parts may have been improperly manufactured and may not meet regulatory requirements for durability and strength.
