EgyptAir is adding six additional A350 aircraft to its order book at the Paris Air Show today. This order brings the total to 16 A350-900 aircraft for the carrier. The airline had previously ordered 10 of the type at the 2023 Dubai Air Show. The A350 is a major competitor to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Today’s announcement reflects our commitment to integrating the next-generation aircraft into our fleet. It will enable us to meet rising demand for long-haul travel, support our network expansion plans over the next five years, and contribute to Egypt’s broader efforts to promote more sustainable air transport.” said EgyptAir’s Chairman and CEO Captain Ahmed Adel.

This deal enables EgyptAir to continue its growth strategy for international long-haul routes with the most fuel-efficient and sustainable aircraft, the Airbus A350, enabling routes to North America and Asia non-stop from Cairo. EgyptAir has configured its A350-900 aircraft for 340 seats in a multi-class configuration.
