The ongoing MAX recovery at Boeing warrants a model. We developed one, as shown below.
Boeing has never had a program as troubled and interrupted as this one. Yet the program delivers on the key metric of fuel efficiency. Orders continue to come in, and Renton is ramping up production. The MAX follows the placid and stable NG. The NG program’s success is the foundation upon which customers flocked to the MAX. That loyalty has been tested.
