We are starting another series of podcast chats, this one focused on Africa. Using the same free-wheeling formula as our Indian series, we will chat monthly with a local aviation expert.
Our “Africa Chat” is with Sean Mendis. Sean has a two-decade history in African commercial aviation. He knows all the key players in the region and is a wealth of information and insight on the continent’s commercial aviation scene. He is known for his frank views and “straight talk.” We are excited to his views add to our African covergae.
In our first chat, I asked Sean to provide a sense of the market – its geographic size (did you know Cairo is closer to Toronto than to Cape Town?); the challenges of traveling across Africa by road and rail are the reason the continent needs to open up its skies.
We welcome any suggestions for our next chat.
