More Embraers will be going to Nigeria shortly, as two Nigerian airlines have announced fleet updates that include Brazilian airliners. Air Peace has ordered five E175s, which is the same model that Overland Airways started inducting last week.
Embraer announced the order from Air Peace on Thursday. The first new aircraft will be delivered in 2024. The E175s will replace the eight ERJ145LRs that have served the airline since August 2017. Back then, six used were delivered to Air Peace, followed by two more in October 2019. The aircraft have an average age of over 23 years, so Air Peace was keen to replace them with newer and more efficient types.
