Embraer has trimmed the delivery forecast for small regional narrowbodies below 150 seats to 8.500 aircraft, down from 8.740 in the Market Outlooks of the two previous years. A keyword that returns in the report is “fragmentation” of the market, with three forces “reshaping the geography of demand and giving rise to a new cycle of air transportation growth—one characterised by stronger regional connectivity, a broader network of destinations, and more diversified passenger flows.”
The Brazilian OEM released its latest Market Outlook today, two days before the Farnborough Airshow kicks off. 53 Percent of new deliveries will be for replacement, 47 percent for growth. Embraer forecasts the annual growth of GDP to be 3.7 percent CAGR.
