Qantas has welcomed home the first Airbus A220-300 with the arrival of the aircraft in Sydney on Wednesday afternoon local time. It marks a new chapter for the Australian airline, which has 29 A220s on order to replace the aging Boeing 717 fleet on the domestic network.
There seem to be some similarities in the arrival of newly delivered aircraft that are white and green. Just like the first Airbus A321neo for Transavia in Amsterdam on Tuesday, the Qantas A220 arrived in Sydney in not the most ideal weather. The aircraft had to fight gusty winds and rain but made it safely to the ground.
