India July 2022 update

Our regular conversation with the team at Sarin & Co. about aviation matters in India – the agenda for this call was upbeat and we were pleased not to be talking about Covid. Our agenda was as follows:

• The war in Ukraine; high fuel prices; and the overall impact on the Indian aviation industry (domestic and international)
• The revised draft of the Protection and Enforcement of Interests in Aircraft Objects Bill, 2022; and the process ahead
• Two new Indian airlines – Akasa and Jet Airways
• Air India and the impending aircraft order
