SkyWest surpassed expectation in 1Q 2024. The carrier reported strong first quarter revenues and earnings as the US major airlines, including their regional affiliates, produced strong results. SkyWest operates regional flights for Delta, United, American, and Alaska Airlines, and carried more than 38 million passengers in 2023. A major airline by fleet size and traffic, SkyWest fleet of approximately 500 aircraft serves over 240 destinations throughout North America.
SkyWest revenues in the first quarter of 2024 were $804 million, up 16% from the $692 in 2023. Net income of $60 million, or $1.45 per share, compared to a net loss of $22 million, or a loss of ($.45) per share in 2023.
