Flexjet, a fractional ownership company, has added the Gulfstream G700 to its fractional fleet. The company, after a 2019 order,  has taken delivery of three aircraft, providing early access to the new type for its fractional customers. Â
First Mover Advantage
“True to the belief that history favors the bold, we continue to bring to market a level of luxury, service and prestige that is simply not available from any other fractional provider and the G700 is the latest example,” said Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci. “As luxury increasingly comes to equate to the freedom and control of enriching one’s time, the G700 aligns seamlessly with those who seek to shape their world both effortlessly and exceptionally.”

The FlexJet fleet will include more than 60 large cabin intercontinental range aircraft by year end, including the G450, G650, and the new G700. The G700 offers a range of 7,750 nm and a cruising speed of 567 knots. The cabin accommodates 15 passengers and a cabin server with the key features of Gulfstream aircraft, including four cabins. One of the cabins is a bedroom for maximum comfort. The G700 also features a cabin altitude of only 2,840 feet at flight level 410, providing additional passenger comfort, and a 100% fresh air system for the cabin.
An Up-Market Trend
“From the Baby Boomers to Gen Xers to corporate flight departments, the desire for larger aircraft that can fly longer distances continues to grow,” added Flexjet CEO Michael Silvestro. “With a ramp presence that is second to none, unmatched size, speed and wellness-based cabin amenities, the G700 is strongly resonating, and our pre-sales indicate this is truly the ultra-long-range aircraft the market is most excited about.”
The Gulfstream G700 will operate as part of Flexjet’s Red Label program, delivering to fractional owners the highest levels of personalization and service. Red Label offers access to the world’s most modern fractional jet fleet, truly unique artisan interiors making up the LXi Cabin Collection and flight crews dedicated to a single aircraft/tail number.Â
The Bottom Line
The G700 is currently a “hot” airplane for those with the $96 million to purchase them. Adding them to a fractional fleet early on in the life of the program by Flexjet provides them a unique ability to move customers quickly into a hard to get airplane quickly, and could provide them a competitive advantage.
