There are a few days to go yet, but after the first two, one pattern is emerging. GE Aerospace is winning the Dubai show. Here’s the score so far.

It looks like being as tough show for Pratt & Whitney. The orders where they have had a chance was Airbus single-aisles and they missed.
For GE and Rolls-Royce, the show has been great. Their engines are on the models in demand. Often, exclusively.
The show is turning out to be bigger than we expected. And that’s great news for the industry. The demand for delivery slots just tightened even more. While this creates stresses, those are going to be felt by lessors and operators that don’t have slots. The biggest upside is that the supply chain benefits bigly.
Financial markets are going to look favorably on supply chain firms seeking capital to expand. This week may be looked back as a key turning point on the road to recovery from the pandemic. The market is signaling positively for commercial aerospace.
