777-9: April Is the Moment

Boeing

announced in February that the first flight of a production-standard 777-9 — specifically the Lufthansa-destined aircraft — was planned for April 2026.  That window is now open. The Lufthansa airframe has completed fuel and engine tests at Paine Field in Everett. A first flight this month would be the single most important 777-9 program signal since Phase 4A clearance in March — confirming that a delivery-standard aircraft is real, not theoretical.
