Airbus A321 Ops in US service

The Airbus A321 gets a lot of attention.  The A321NX version is in high demand, and recent order delays from some US airlines (Spirit, JetBlue, and Frontier) do not reflect on the aircraft’s performance.

Here’s our model of the A321’s performance in US airline service. The A321neo’s steady growth in market impact is impressive.  The big three have all started deploying the A321NX, which delivers much-improved fuel burn over the previous model.  The MAX 9 offers even better fuel burn but does not offer the same capabilities.
