Chairman Xi Jinping, visiting France, signed an agreement between the Chinese government and Airbus for 300 new aircraft. Â The order will include 290 aircraft from the A320neo family, as well as 10 from the A350XWB family, going to 13 airlines. Â A breakdown of specific models and specific customers was not provided.
Guillaume Faury, Airbus CEO, stated “our expanding footprint in China demonstrates our lasting confidence in the Chinese market and our long-term commitment to China and our partners.”
The value of the transaction is approximately $35 billion US at current list prices.
