First third 2024 – what do deliveries look like?

With the first third of the year completed, here is our preliminary assessment of new deliveries.

• Asia-Pacific has picked up now that MAX deliveries are occurring.
• Based on the preliminary numbers, deliveries might come in under 2023 levels—of course, that could change if Renton production gets back up to potential rates.

• Both Airbus and Boeing look slow so far compared to previous years.  Boeing’s situation is understood, but the Airbus one is less discussed. Then again, Airbus seems to manage impressive delivery rates at the back end of the year.
• COMAC is noteworthy – this could be their best year if the trend continues.
• Embraer is also having a good year, and among the big Western OEMs still offers the fastest deliveries.
