Nigeria’s Ibom Air has taken delivery of its first own Airbus A220-300 on November 24. The delivery comes almost two years after the carrier ordered ten aircraft at the 2021 Dubai Airshow. The aircraft was handed over during a signing ceremony in Mirabel.
Deliveries were first scheduled to start in the first quarter of this year but were pushed back, likely because of the supply chain issues Airbus is suffering on the A220 program as well. The remaining aircraft were originally scheduled for 2024, but it isn’t confirmed if this still stands.
