Notes:
- Slow deliveries of the newest models from Airbus and Boeing keep the previous models popular; operators are trading actively.
- Page 2 shows the first quarter as slower than the past few years. Business is tight, likely driving values artificially higher. There will be a hangover.
- Boeing continues to benefit from delivering military variants of its commercial models. The Airbus A400 program may have the West’s slowest deliveries. Fortunately for Airbus, customers are governments, not commercial operators.
- At current rates, transactions might reach 2,000 for the year. This is slower than in the recent past. However, in 2022, stolen Russian aircraft transactions have driven volumes artificially higher.
