Unsurprisingly there are data gaps, and we filled this with third-party sources—for example, aircraft age.
The move into and out of the pandemic is especially interesting. Each airline reacted differently and played the cards they had to work with. Some airlines parked fleets permanently (American). Others went to the market and bought second-hand models of what they already flying. Fascinating stuff if you are an avgeek – but isn’t that why you’re here?
