On October 13 and 14, Airbus held a media briefing in Toulouse. As always, here are the event recordings. Per our decade-plus-long understanding with Airbus, we don’t record the Q&A. We recorded the Day 1 videos from an awkward spot in the third row. On Day 2, we had a front-row seat.
The speakers all spoke confidently about their programs. This is to be expected, and viewers have to parse each presentation for nuance. You will notice that a decade-plus backlog gives everyone at Airbus well-earned confidence. The market likes their products and appreciates their steady ramp-up. In an industry that gets regular shocks, a reliable vendor is a valuable partner. Notice how often the word ‘partner’ is used. The concept is drilled into Airbus.
In terms of nuance, it’s hard to detect any negative insight about the supply chain. One notable point: while single-aisle aircraft struggle to get engine deliveries on time, Rolls-Royce isn’t a pacing item on widebodies. There, cabin fixtures are the issue.
Speaking of single-aisles, here are two charts to provide context. The competition between CFM and Pratt & Whitney is intense.

We were told the A321 now accounts for 85% of their business. When we filter for that model, here’s what we see. Notice how Pratt & Whitney got off to a great start. Then, AOG issues drove interest down. Big customers like Indigo switched, and CFM won back share.

This context might help readers listen and parse what they are about to watch.
