It’s a data Friday moment. Here’s a data model showing the average delivery days per OEM, model and operator.

What you want to watch how the numbers vary over the year.  There is variation for several reasons like engine delays and so on.  But there’s often a sub text, too.

As you go through the various operators you might notice that the numbers are shrinking (i.e. MAX 8 and A220).   Notice also that OEMs do not treat all customers the same.  As the saying goes, “The Big Dog Eats”.  The bigger the customer the lower the average delivery days .

You will also notice the delayed MAXs as they were placed in India. There are a few 787s (i.e. TAAG) that also were re-marketed.
