Here’s the updated model for December. The more detailed model is available to subscribers.

Notes:

  • The number of aircraft changing hands among the US airlines is remarkable – most of these being new deliveries.
  • It is noticeable that Alaska took more new aircraft than American.
  • Looking at the numbers for Ryanair, Michael O’Leary’s annoyance is understandable.
  • Given its huge order book, IndiGo is #2 and will likely remain among the top 5 for several years.
  • If the MAX 7 is certified within the next 90 days, as is hoped, it will be interesting to see how Southwest’s deliveries change.
  • Compared to previous Decembers, 2023 was middling in terms of transactions.
