Start My Test Flight →On production first flights, Boeing runs a seven-day operation. Saturday and Sunday account for nearly 1,000 first flights in our dataset. Airbus logs 50 Sunday first flights total. Boeing doesn’t stop for the weekend. Airbus does.
On deliveries, both converge on business days. Friday leads for both Airbus and Boeing. Sunday drops to 38 for Airbus and 137 for Boeing. Customer acceptance teams, paperwork, and ferry crews follow the working week even when the factory floor doesn’t.
