The news is not great.  Weather is hammering air travel in the US Northeast.  The news is terrible even further south as the ripple effects spread.  If you have air travel plans, you might want to think it over.  Getting to your destination and back might take much longer than you planned.

Here’s the most recent update from the US DoT for on-time arrivals.  That’s right – 2023 has the worst YTD on-time arrivals over the period reported in the chart. We don’t expect it to get better.

The data is probably going to spoil your travel plans. But it is better you know in advance and adjust your expectations. Use the model to get some reality in your travel planning.  Please use the menus on the left to help focus your research.

On page 2, we offer the top 20 origin and destinations, showing the delay times.  The US DoT defines any flight arriving within 15 minutes as on time.  Page 2 also allows you to select the airline you plan on flying.  Use this to refine the tables.
