Gulfstream G300
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced the new G300 made its first flight, demonstrating significant program maturity and officially launching its rigorous flight test program. Introduced on Sept. 30 in Savannah as the latest addition to Gulfstream’s visionary fleet, the G300 represents a new standard in its segment and is poised to redefine the super-midsize category.
The release is here.
The G300 replaces the G280. The super-midsize jet segment includes business jets that offer a balance of cabin comfort, speed, high-altitude performance, and transcontinental or near-transatlantic range (~3,000–4,000 nautical miles). These jets seat 8–12 passengers (up to 19 in some configurations), feature stand-up cabins measuring 6–7 feet, and have average prices of $20–30 million. They bridge the gap between midsize jets (shorter range, smaller cabins) and large-cabin jets (extended range, more luxurious but much more expensive).
In our recent review of the 3Q25 GAMA data, we offer a deep dive into the key numbers. Gulfstream is doing well, and its new models are doing the usual record-breaking flights.
