Qatar Airways announced an order for 18 new Gulfstream aircraft. The announcement was made at the White House today by Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive of Qatar Airways. “Qatar Airways is very pleased to confirm this landmark deal with Gulfstream. Our corporate jet division, Qatar Executive, goes from strength to strength and this commitment to new orders will allow us to offer our bespoke luxury service to even more passengers,” said Al Baker.
The order includes 14 Gulfstream G650ER models and four G500 models. Qatar Executive has been a Gulfstream customer since 2014, when it was announced as the international launch customer for the G500. The additional orders are valued at more than $1 billion.
The new aircraft will join the Qatar Executive Fleet, which includes the Gulfstream G650ER, Bombardier Global 5000, Bombardier Global XRS, Bombardier Challenger 605, and the Gulfstream 500.
