The sad demise of the MRJ
Care to share?

How it started – MRJ JA21MJ touches down in Moses Lake. Video by Isaac Alexander

How it ended – JA21MJ was scrapped yesterday—photograph from Wade Sackett. This is the second MRJ that has been parted out after JA23MJ last year, the aircraft that flew in ANA colors and was present at the 2017 Paris and 2018 Farnborough Airshow. There are three more MRJ90s/SpaceJet M90s in Moses Lake, two in Nagoya, plus two unfinished MRJ70s.

There was so much potential.  To see an aircraft scrapped like this – before it even had a commercial life – is truly sad.  It looks like even the museum idea has been trashed.

Then the data bug got me, making me a curious Avgeek seeking data-driven logic. Also, I appreciate conversations with smart people from whom I learn so much. Summary: I am very fortunate to work with and converse with great people.
