Aura Aero, which is developing a new hybrid electric regional aircraft, has completed another financing round for €50 million. That brings the total funding to date to €340 million. Proceeds from the series B capital injection will support the first flight of the hybrid-electric regional aircraft in 2027, ramping up production of the Integral trainer, and development of the Embata drone.
The latest round of funding for Aura Aero was led by Safran Corporate Ventures. Investors includes the French Tech Souveraineté fund, the European Innovation Council Fund, Blast Innovation and the EDF group in addition to Safran. The company also received a €170 million grant from the State of Florida to support a Daytona Beach factory.

The company expects to fly the prototype of its 19 seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft in 2027, and has a firm order from Pan Européenne Air Service as its first customer.
