We had the opportunity to speak with Andrew Smith, Project Manager, Electric Powerplant & Systems at United Technologies regarding Project 804 at NBAA 2019. That project, to provide a hybrid powerplant for a DeHavilland Dash 8-100 aircraft, could revolutionize regional turboprops and change the carbon footprint for air transportation.
