Today’s eVTOL news from Elroy Air doing a deal with Bristow Group changed our model’s ranking. Elroy now ranks #5 on our list of eVTOL OEMs by commitments. Below is the refreshed model.
The sheer volume of commitments in this arena remains impressive. Even if the unit price is far lower than with more typical commercial aviation aircraft, the gross capital being injected into the industry is substantial. Nearly half the deals announced are with airlines – an industry familiar with the pricing and risks. Another ~21% is with lessors, also familiar with the vagaries of commercial aviation.
