Dassault Aviation has begun production at a new facility in Cergy, France, which has replaced an older facility in Argenteuil with the exception of some small parts production. Â The new facility, located northwest of Paris in the Val d’Oise region, was authorized in 2019, with groundbreaking in 2021, completion in 2024 and with the transfer of production, inaugurated today.

Raison d’ĂŞtre
Eric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation, stated “This is Dassault Aviation’s first new production facility since the 1970s. It sends a positive signal to the aerospace sector and to industry as a whole. France possesses unique expertise that we must preserve and develop within our national territory. This is a question of sovereignty, which is particularly vital in the current context. It is also an economic and social imperative, to meet the challenge of re-industrializing our country and creating jobs.”
The facility comprises 1.192 million square feet, with 427,327 square feet of production area. Â The facility roof is covered with solar panels, and green space has been built into the building’s design. Â The more than 600 employees at the facility will be assembling Falcon and Rafale skin panels and small parts, Rafale and Falcon forward fuselage assemblies, the outfitting of Rafale fuselages, and metal hose production, and taking over all but small parts production from Argenteuil.
Dassault is a major player in military and civil aerospace. With over 10,000 military and civil aircraft (including 2,700 Falcons) delivered in more than 90 countries over the last century, Dassault Aviation is recognized as key player in aerospace.  The company’s expertise is recognized worldwide in the design, production, sale and support of all types of aircraft, ranging from the Rafale fighter, to the high-end Falcon family of business jets, military drones and space systems. In 2024, Dassault Aviation reported revenues of €6.2 billion. The company has 14,600 employees.
The Bottom Line
With increasing demand for both military and business aircraft, Dassault Aviation needed more modern facilities to support higher production. Â The new factory in Cergy provides the ability to meet that future demand in a modern and more sustainable facility.
