UPDATE – Rolls-Royce will continue to focus on investments in large engines for widebody aircraft and small engines for business aircraft. It is also open for partnerships on new engines for narrowbody aircraft using technology from the UltraFan demonstrator. But the OEM plans to dispose of its electrical business for advanced air mobility, Rolls-Royce said on Tuesday during its Capital Markets Day in London.
In a media release and presentation published ahead of the event, Rolls-Royce shared full details of its multi-year transformation that was launched in February after CEOÂ Tufan Erginbilgic joined the company. The first details were announced on October 17, when Rolls-Royce said that the transformation would result in the loss of 2.000 to 2.500 roles.
